This Month's Featured Doctor is... Dr. Michael E. Pohlod Dr. Michael E. Pohlod graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He received his medical degree in 1990 from Tulane University School f Medicine. He began his ophthalmic training at Portsmouth Naval Hospital and Ochsner Hospital where he received meritorious commendation awards and was made chief resident. Dr. Pohlod joined Magruder Eye Institute in 1998 where he practices general ophthalmology, including cataract and implant surgery, anterior segment, laser and eyelid surgery. He is also affiliated with Orlando Regional Healthcare System, Florida Hospital, Winter Park Memorial Hospital as well as Lakeside Surgery Center. Dr. Pohlod has actively participated in several clinical research studies and has written articles for publications. Dr. Pohlod currently resides in Winter Park, Fl.
