More About Your Host...
Larry Perry started hosting the The Magic Mechanic on NewsTalk 580 WDBO in 1991. Larry started his radio career as a guest on WDBO's mid-day talk show and overwhelming response from listeners turned the Magic Mechanic's guest appearances into a Saturday morning WDBO tradition for "Do-It-Yourselfers"!

Larry has been a mechanic for over 25 years, and he is one of only three people in the United States who is an 8 times Master Certified Tech. In 1989, Larry opened his own repair shop, ironically called The Magic Mechanic, in downtown Winter Park. The automobile expert boasts that his shop specializes in all levels of vehicle maintenance, service and repair.

Born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia, Larry started working on cars at his father's gas station at age 9. After high school, he was employed by several different car dealerships including Buick, Pontiac, Chrysler, Honda, Cadillac, Isuzu, Ford and Lincoln-Mercury. While working at the dealerships, Larry received factory training and certification from many different auto manufacturers.

Larry also has an automotive section in the Orlando Sentinel, and hosts an automotive show on TV.
