You Need To Set Goals For Your Yard!

Today's theme is focus on the goal. Now, many of you when it comes to your landscape really don't know where to start, so frustration sets in and you know what happens, absolutely nothing. This is not good. So this is what you are going to do, you are going to focus on the goal. Your goal for the yard is clean, neat, organized, pretty, wow...

In order to achieve this you need to spend some time thinking about what it is that you really truly like.

Add your annuals, choose the colors you like best when the season is over you might be tired of those same colors, simply change your color scheme with brand new annuals.
Organize the flow (it doesn't just happen): What I mean by this is, to simply tier the landscape. This means, small in the front, medium in the middle, and taller plants in the background.
Plant potted plants now: Too many people have a group of potted plants that are not thriving in the pots. Make a decision today, to carefully choose a location and get them in the ground so that they have a fighting chance.
Proper Planting: When adding a new addition be sure to plant at the same depth as it was growing in the pot, back fill the hole 1/3 at a time, then compress the soil.
Check and double check your watering this time of year. Let's face it, when it's hot, we need a glass of water and so does everything that is alive. Many plants are stressed out in the heat of the summer, simply because their roots are not saturated enough.
