Lockheed Martin's Raptor Debut

The F-22 Raptor flies vertically up, and is the world's only operational fifth-generation fighter aircraft's debut at an internation air show.


The United States Air Force fighter jet's 12-minute display was the highlight of the first day of the Farnborough aerospace show in England Monday, July 14.

Almost 300,000 people are expected to attend the show featuring almost 1,500 exhibitors from 35 countries showing off the latest in aviation technology. (AP Photo/Lefteris Pitarakis)
