Michael Savage on UK 'Least Wanted' List
Sixteen people banned from entering the UK since October last year for fostering extremism or hatred have been named by the UK.
A total of 22 people have been excluded in that time, although the identities of six of them have been withheld by the government in the "public interest". The named individuals are:
ABDULLAH QADRI AL AHDAL Preacher. Considered to be engaging in unacceptable behaviour by seeking to foment, justify or glorify terrorist violence in furtherance of particular beliefs and fostering hatred that might lead to inter-community violence.
YUNIS AL ASTAL Preacher and Hamas MP. Considered to be engaging in unacceptable behaviour by seeking to foment, justify or glorify terrorist violence in furtherance of particular beliefs and to provoke others to terrorist acts.
STEPHEN DONALD BLACK Former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard who set up racist website Stormfront. Considered to be engaging in unacceptable behaviour by promoting serious criminal activity and fostering hatred that might lead to inter-community violence in the UK.
WADGY ABD EL HAMIED MOHAMED GHONEIM A prolific speaker and writer. Considered to be engaging in unacceptable behaviour by seeking to foment, justify or glory terrorist violence in furtherance of particular beliefs and to provoke others to commit terrorist acts.

FRED WALDRON PHELPS SNR & SHIRLEY PHELPS-ROPER American pastor and leading spokesman of Westboro Baptist Church. Considered to be engaging in unacceptable behaviour by fostering hatred that might lead to inter-community violence in the UK. The 79-year-old and his daughter are barred for their anti-gay comments. Both have picketed the funerals of Aids victims and have claimed the deaths of American soldiers are a punishment for US tolerance of homosexuality.
SAMIR AL QUNTAR Hezbollah militant. Spent three decades in prison for killing four soldiers and a four-year-old girl. Considered to be engaging in unacceptable behaviour by seeking to foment, justify or glorify terrorist violence in furtherance of particular beliefs and to provoke others to terrorist acts.
ARTUR RYNO & RAVEL SKACHEVSKY Leaders of a violent Russian skinhead gang that beat migrants and posted films of their attacks on the internet, and committed 20 racially motivated murders. Considered to be engaging in unacceptable behaviour by fomenting serious criminal activity and seeking to provoke others to serious criminal acts. Both are currently in prison.
AMIR SIDDIQUE Preacher. Considered to be engaging in unacceptable behaviour by fomenting terrorist violence in furtherance of particular beliefs.
MICHAEL ALAN WEINER (ALSO KNOWN AS MICHAEL SAVAGE) Controversial daily radio talk-show host. Considered to be engaging in unacceptable behaviour by seeking to provoke others to serious criminal acts and fostering hatred which might lead to inter-community violence. His views on immigration, Islam, rape and autism have caused great offence in the US. "This is someone who has fallen into the category of fomenting hatred, of such extreme views and expressing them in such a way that it is actually likely to cause inter-community tension or even violence if that person were allowed into the country," UK Home Office Representative Ms Smith told BBC Breakfast.
"If people have so clearly overstepped the mark in terms of the way not just that they are talking but the sort of attitudes that they are expressing to the extent that we think that this is likely to cause or have the potential to cause violence or inter-community tension in this country, then actually I think the right thing is not to let them into the country in the first place. Not to open the stable door then try to close it later," Ms Smith said.
"It's a privilege to come to this country. There are certain behaviours that mean you forfeit that privilege."
What others are saying
- UK BanHe is an entertainer spitting out only half of the facts to win his points like many right leaning (and left leaning too) talk show hosts. Anyone who belives more than 20% of what these people spew are the ones that should be banned. They prey on people's fears and misconceptions and provide proof by showing half of the facts or simpley finding someone facts that support their views. I listen to many off these people but take 95% of what they say with a grain of salt.
- Least WantedIt's actually pretty funny. I've always loved listening to Michael Savage when in the USA, his views and the way he propounds them are amongst the best comedy you can have on a long drive. If you want to take seriously what he has to say, then I can see why he's being banned. His absurd comments in areas related to the gay slices of the population, the whole autism thing and his paranoia about islamofascism are not going to make for better inter-community relations are they?
Actually the general reaction in the UK to his coming over here would be Michael Who? He's as well-known as Nicky Campbell (UK talk-show host)would be in Orlando and any appearance on UK media to put forward his views would just lead to him being treated as a bizarre eccentric. - UKWho in their rigth mind wants to go to the UK? ... to see what?
- UK least wanted listThe list is not rediculous. Michael Savage being placed on the list with these violent, racist, hate mongers is.
Ms. Smith of the UK Home Office and those that included Savage are either ignorant or have political motivations. Michael Savage has never condoned or expressed in any way the use of violence against anyone except in the case of enemy attack or war on forein soil. I can recall however, numerous liberal movie and tv actors and other liberal minions out professing their desire for the death of Pres. Bush, VP Cheney, Don Rumsfeld and Karl Rove. All because they didnt agree with them on the Irag War. It seems to me the UK needs to issue an apology to Michael Savage. They would be so lucky to have him visit their country. He is a patriot.
