Maybe..Casey did kill the child, and tried to bury the evidence in the backyard. Then, as was reported made a flurry of phone calls to her parents on June 16-17, telling them what happened. Her father being a retired cop tells her to dig the baby back up put it in her trunk and take it to who knows where maybe even another county and don't report it for awhile, and just try to act normal, and above all, don't say anything to anyone. Then after about a month, have the grandmother call up and report the baby missing. The girl goes on with her life acting like nothing was wrong and about a month later the grandmother calls 911 in a frantic voice reporting the baby is missing. Never again has grandma sounded that frantic about that baby missing since that phone call to 911. The grandmother admitted on Larry King that she might have told a little lie about the car being stolen, but that might have been just more of the coverup. She must have told the grandmother where the "not stolen" car was since grandma went and removed the clothes from the car and washed them. It was reported that Casey called her boyfriend to come and get her from the car when it ran out of gas and he asked her what she was going to do about the car and she reportedly said, "leave it, my Dad said he will take care of it." I think the reason that none of this is making sense is that she seems to me like a girl that is trying to save herself and everyone is trying to make this make sense, and the only way it does is if it goes so much deeper than Casey just being the only one not to talk. Seems to me more like someone that is following instructions of someone she trusts to get her out of a major problem. Her refusing to talk to her family and her family coming up with one stupid reason after the next to try and keep the investigators busy looking for "babysitters", "dope dealers", "dangerous criminals" or whatever else they can come up with. After being in law enforcement for years, that grandfather KNOWS exactly what not to do in a case like this. I think the whole family is in on it, and the grandparents figure they already lost the grandchild and can't change that but are going to protect their own child no matter what.
