A group from the Chamber of Commerce is going to Charlotte this morning to ride the light rail there. Remember when light rail failed here back in 1998 by a single vote?

"The vast majority of that federal funding ended up in Charlotte. They have several rail projects, and they've had major redevelopment all along the rail lines. So, we're going to go up and take a look at a city that did it right."
