Lt. Governor says Chinese drywall is poisoning his family

As Florida's housing market continues to go down the tubes, another wrench has been thrown into the works - Chinese made drywall is being blamed for causing respritory problems among other things. Even a top state leader has said "enough."

Florida Lt. Governor Jeff Kottkamp is moving his family out of their home because the emissions coming from the drywall are making his family sick, according to Kottkamp's chief of staff Larry Ringer.

"They are in the process of leaving the home," Ringer said. "They've been there for about two years now, but they are making arrangements."

Builders and environmental consultants are investigating whether the Chinese made drywall is not only causing health issues, but corroding air conditioner coils, computer wiring and even metal picture frames. It's believed the drywall emits a high levels of sulfur-based gases.

The Florida Department of Health is conducting their own investigation.

Chinese Drywall
You get what you pay for. WE were asked to buy this stuff when drywall was hard to get. Some other drywall suppliers did charge lower prices and the people whom always go on price purchased it. God bless them they got what they paid for.

Geez
Can the Chinese people get anything right? Between the lead based paints and this drywall, I would say they are secretly trying to kill Americans. Just imagine how they could have turned something like this into a terrorist attack with just a few more ingredients. Just another reason why we should be self-reliant.
