Sen. Nelson to ask for Chinese drywall recall

Christopher Day is the legal counsel in Sen. Bill Nelson's office. He says Chinese Drywall is literally a headache for Florida home owners.
"Foul smells in their houses; corrosion in their electrical wiring; corrosion in air conditioning units; failures of those air conditioning units," Day said. "Some home owners have also reported health effects."
The drywall issue is affecting several states. But right now, Florida takes the cake.
"Florida was the number one recipient of this drywall by far from a period of 2004 to 2008," Day said.
The hope is to have an official recall by the government, which would then insure any home affected would have new drywall installed at to cost to the homeowner.
