Man breaks into Orange Co. home, tries to take sleeping girl
Orange County deputies are investigating an attempted abduction on the east side. It happened at a home in the Andover Cay subdivision near Curry Ford Road.

Deputies say the would-be kidnapper broke into the home through a window just before 4:00 Thursday morning.
"He located the four-year-child, took her from her bed and moved her to another room in the house where what we believe was going to be some kind of sexual assault," said Sgt. Rich Mankewich.
He says the girl screamed, and that woke up her parents.
"They came, engaged the suspect and he dove back out the window. (The) father pursued him up the street," said Mankewich.
He says the victim's father chased the man for several hundred yards before he lost track of him.
Investigators were able to work with the family to get a good description of the man to develop the composite sketch above.
Deputies used dogs to search for the attacker, but they were unable to track him down.
Mankewich says the girl was not sexually assaulted, but she's pretty shaken. This evening deputies will distribute copies of the composite sketch to determine if any of the family's neighbors saw anything suspicious.
