Efforts to get a new home are underway for an army vet injured in Iraq
It's the latest West Orange Habitat for Humanity project. They've already built one home for an
injured soldier. Sunday, Bill Criswell with Habitat says they'll kick off the project to get a home for Army Specialist Marcus Griffin, his wife and two children. "With dangerous and difficult assignments, they just don't back off. We don't feel we can do any less."The project called Home At Last II, needs to raise an estimated $300,000 by December. "It's not going to be an easy project because of the economic times," said Criswell.
Griffin, 25, was severely injured when an IED went off when he was on patrol. Despite body armor he suffered from shrapnel and is legally blind.

It'll be at Tanner Hall in Winter Garden starting at 2 p.m. Griffin and his family will attend. The special guest speaker for the event is U.S. Army Major General (Ret.) John Ellerson.
