Congressman Grayson says Senate will leave Orlando hurricane center alone
Congressman Alan Grays was able to secure a last second deal that may end up creating a $50 million hurricane research center in Orlando. But could the whole thing get wiped out in the Senate?

Grayson says he's confident the Senate won't nix the hurricane research center.
"The leadership has made a commitment to me, and so has the president," he said. "So I don't think the Senate's going to stand in their way."
Grayson faced criticism that he actually sold his vote in support of Cap-and-Trade hours before it passed the House.
"I made sure that the bill that I voted in favor of was a bill that was good for my constituency," he said. "And in the process, yes, got a huge new facility in Orlando. And I'm proud of it."
Which he says proves he read the 1400 page bill.
"Sure, how do you think I found the part of it that go us $50 million," he said. "If I didn't read the bill how would I have even known about that."
What others are saying
- Cap and TradeWhere, Mr. Grayson, in the US Constitution is the enumerated power of Congress to establish a cap and trade system?
- GraysonWowzer, he finds something in the bill he likes because he was reading it and then takes credit for it. Now I wonder if he may have been setup by his own Congress in order to swing his vote for Cap & Tax Bill. MMMMMMMMMMMM I wonder.
- cap and tradeYou sold your vote on cap and trade for $50 million. If cap and trade passes the senate it will cost the area Billions and destroy the economy. If you read the bill you dont have the capacity to understand it or worse!!!

- Grayson reading about not including the projectI would be more impressed if he was the one who pushing to included the Hurricane Research Center in the bill which effected his district rather than finding out about it in a bill.
