"Snarky" teen avoids prosecution for Obama Joker posters
Turns out a teenager who stuck up a bunch of Barack Obama posters in Clermont won't be going to court. Those posters depicted the president as the Joker from the last Batman movie, "The Dark Knight."

The posters were stuck to everything from utility poles to mail collection boxes. Because they are a form of satire, they are protected under the law, to a point.
"Localities and cities can regulate the time, place and manner of that," said Dr. Drew Lanier, a political science professor at the University of Central Florida.
"But the state has made the decision that it's not an important enough case to devote its limited resources to this question," he explained.
Clermont city leaders may choose to charge the teen with violating an ordinance, such as littering or being a nuisance, according to Dr. Lanier.
"I thought it was just a kid being a kid and being, you know, being kind of snarky," he said.
