Escaped inmate spotted in Winter Park remains free

Cops were looking for a man who escaped from the Kissimmee Work Release Center last November 26, but he slipped away again. Lt. Paul Hopkins says this all went down near Aloma and Goldenrod. Christopher Ware was serving time for gun theft.
Parts of Winter Park were locked down overnight.
"We were forced to call in our bloodhounds who conducted a track that led to a gas station about 3/4 of a mile away. About 4:30 this morning we stopped the active search, and we know who he is, and we're just going to go out and get other investigative leads to find him."
When they first tried to catch this fugitive, he rammed the cars of 3 deputies, and Hopkins says he's lucky those cops didn't gun him down at that point.
They're looking for a light skinned black male with long hair, dark clothes, and a tattoo on his right elbow. If you see this man prowling around Winter Park, cops want you to call 9-1-1.
