"Good Samaritan" accused of raping woman he stopped to help on I-4
A Lake Mary man who started out the morning as a good Samaritan is now in jail on rape charges.
Winel Molina, 33, pulled over to help a 26 year-old woman on I-4 early this morning."The victim was driving down I-4 and began to not feel good, some kind of a medical issue," said Officer Tim Hyer with Altamonte Springs police.
Molina told the woman he would drive her home. Instead, he took her to a storage facility off Douglas Road in Altamonte Springs. Around 3 a.m., a passing officer noticed the car.
"In the interior of the vehicle he noticed a male and female in the back seat of the car," Hyer said.
Still unaware of where she was or what was wrong, the victim was taken to the hospital. Molina has been charged with rape.
