Health care reform supporters storm Kosmas' Orlando office
"She's not for reform," said Jennifer Kenne with the Alliance for Retired Americans. "She won't make any commitments, and we want a public option."
About 25 union members, activists and retirees associated with Healthcare for America Now walked into Kosmas' office in Research Park near UCF to deliver a letter outlining what they want in health care reform.
Their demands include a government-run health care option, no taxes on health care benefits, allowing 55 to 64-year-old retirees to buy into Medicare, closing the Medicare "donut hole" and eliminating Medicare Advantage overpayments.
HCAN says Kosmas has refused to take a stand on those issues.
"She's like a nebulous blob," said a sign-toting Kosmas constituent. "It would be better to have opposition, somebody that took a stand. That's what a congressperson is supposed to do."
Kosmas wasn't in her office, but the group read the letter out loud and requested a face-to-face meeting when she returns to the district.

We DON'T care how much campaign money you raise ... you can't buy our votes. - Kosmas DilemaIt is sad to see these "protestors", who are part of Obama's "private army" harass anyone: typical Democratic strategy. However, I agree with one of thier comments: the Congresswoman shlould take a stand. Personally, I would like to see her walk away from this Administration and declare herself independent.
