It was a shooting that happened on a day of drinking and arguing.

Osceola County Sheriff's deputies say on September 19 at their home on Sweet Plumb Court in Kissimmee, Tammy Rogers asked her husband Phillip Rogers (photo) to give her his gun and he did. Rogers told detectives Tammy held the gun to her head but it did not go off, so she gave it back to her husband.

Rogers put a round in the chamber. Tammy then shot herself and was airlifted to ORMC. While her injuries were not fatal, officials say she has limited day-to-day functions and her family is caring for her.

On November 6, detectives arrested Phillip Rogers and charged him with one count of attempted/assisting in self murder for his involvement in his wife's attempted suicide.
