Vinsanity strikes as Magic sting Hornets

It was a coming out party for Vince Carter at Amway Arena.

Final score: Magic 123 Hornets 117.

Orlando's Vince Carter, who struggled in a January slump, made his presence known Monday night. Carter tallied a season-high 48 points.

Carter scored 34 of his 48 points in the second half.

Orlando trailed by 15 points at the half, but the Magic outscored the Hornets 36-23 in the fourth quarter.

Dwight Howard chipped in 25 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks.

The Magic, winners of nine of the last 11, visit Chicago Wednesday night on WDBO.
