LIVE: Hurricanes impact on oil spill
The 2010 hurricane season is underway causing concerns that a storm could cross the massive oil spill the Gulf of Mexico.

The last named storm, Tropical Storm Bonnie, put a halt on oil-spill clean up late last week but clean-up is now back in progress.
Coast Guard Gen. Thad Allen says if a storm threatens, work to capture oil at the spill location would be stopped five days before gale-force winds (about 46 mph) are forecast to hit the area.
BP is hoping to install a new oil capturing system that would allow the company to disconnect the equipment faster and hook it back up quickly after a storm passes.
BP says right now they would need five days to pull out if there is a hurricane and the new system would cut that to two days. A live global storm tracker is available, tracking every storm this hurricane season. View the live storm tracker by clicking here.

What others are saying
- stop oil leakI have 50 years expieiance in industrial plant troubleshooting and I can see where the people working for BP are thinking too big. I know of and easy way to stop the leak and I have not been able to get through to any one. The BP people are slackers. If you have a water leak in your house and can not turn the valve off you do not continue to bail the water out. You keep working till you get the water turned off. I have offered to by dinner for some one in athority and pay my expense to drive there and explain the plan with them. But no one has responded to the offer.
