(Orlando-AP) -- Disney, Anheuser-Busch and Vivendi Universal are playing a game of chicken with an oncoming bullet train.
The three entertainment conglomerates are fighting over a proposed high-speed train route connecting Tampa to Orlando. Disney is virtually guaranteed a station connecting Walt Disney World directly to Orlando International Airport.
Now Disney's rivals at Universal Orlando and SeaWorld say if they don't get a station, they may try to stop the train dead in its tracks. A state panel is expected to endorse the Disney station later this week. The plan could cost upward of 2.2-billion dollars.
The Disney route would bypass Orlando's International Drive tourist district, which is anchored by Universal at one end and SeaWorld at the other. Disney says it does not want any intermediate stops on the route. But Universal and SeaWorld say the authority shouldn't favor one private company over another.
Then again, Governor Jeb Bush appears likely to trump everyone. He has indicated he will veto the entire bullet train project when he signs the state budget today.
