Ex-fiance changes story, shifts timeline

It has been 20 days since 2-year-old Caylee Anthony was reported missing. Now, the person who claimed to have heard Caylee in the background of a phone call is changing his story.

Jesse Grund, ex-fiance of Caylee's jailed mother Casey, was the only person who said he'd seen or heard Caylee past the date of June 15th, when grandmother Cindy Anthony says she tucked Caylee and Casey into bed, then never saw Caylee again.

Grund previously gave investigators a sworn statement that he'd heard Casey scold Caylee to "get off the table" during a phone call on June 24th. He'd then heard Caylee's voice responding. In this statement, he said he was sure of the date, because it was the day of his resignation from the Orlando Police Department.

Further, he testified that Casey called him the next day in attempt to cheer him up, inviting him to the beach and saying that Caylee was "with the nanny."

Now, Grund has given investigators a new statement. He says he is NOT positive of the date of that call.

Grund told sister station Channel 9, "I could not testify 100% that I did hear her on that specific phone call. I still believe that I did hear her but I can't separate this call with other calls that I've had with Casey in the past. I definitely stand by what I said - that I heard Casey scold Caylee to get off the table during that call on June 24th."

Even so, since Grund changed his official statement, the timeline has shifted. Now, the last confirmed sighting of little Caylee is June 15th.
