Anthony's seek help from commissioners

Nikki Pierce 10/01/2008

The family of missing 3-year-old Caylee Anthony is trying to get some help, from the county.

We told you how often unruly crowds gather at their home, protesting that Cindy Anthony is not cooperating with Orange County deputies in the search for her daughter.

"We're pleading with the county to at least offer whatever suggestions you might have," said their Homeowners Association President Bill Fulton. He says the neighbors are desperate for help since the courts turned them down for the second time in their quest for a restraining order.

The commission heard from Fulton, Karen Wonsetler, who represents the Chickasaw Oaks HOA, and the Anthony's attorney Mark NeJame before the commissioner's attorney put the ball squarely back into law enforcement's court.

"We would prefer to see this process follow through with what the sheriff is able to do. We're dealing with First Amendment rights, and as all of you know, you can get sued," said Tom Drage.

George and Cindy Anthony sat quietly through the proceedings and left without comment. They did agree to move prayer vigils from their home on Hope Spring Drive to another location, and the sheriff's office will put more undercover investigators at the scene.
