Marva Hinton 8/12/0822-year-old Casey Anthony has been in jail for almost a month. She has recently cut off communication with her family, giving the outside world little insight into her life in jail.
I spoke with Orange County jail spokesman Allen Moore, and he said most of Casey's time is spent in her cell.
"It's a pretty austere life for her," he said.
Moore says Casey remains in protective custody and is secluded from other inmates.
She is allowed out of her cell for an hour each day to take a shower or make a phone call, and she may get out for another hour to get some exercise.
"We have a small recreation yard, kinda like a basketball court, that is inside the facility but is open through the ceiling to the elements," Moore explained.
Since Casey is not allowed to have contact with other inmates, she takes her exercise alone and eats her meals in isolation in her cell.
