Hayden Wiggs is a radio news reporter and anchor with WDBO in Orlando, Florida. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she earned her M.A. in Professional Journalism. She graduated in 2022 with a B.A.J. in Social Justice and Political Reporting with minors in English, History (focus on Eastern European history and politics), and Theatre Arts. Hayden is an award-winning journalist from Atlanta, Georgia, whose work has been featured in over 20 publications, including WDBO ORLANDO, MISSISSIPPI FREE PRESS, THE OXFORD EAGLE, THE DAILY MISSISSIPPIAN, REBEL RADIO, THE PANOLIAN, the OXFORD MAGAZINE, and THE NORTH GWINNETT VOICE. She has also been featured on THE BERT SHOW, a nationally syndicated morning radio show based in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2020, Hayden was awarded the Best Radio Feature Award from the Louisiana-Mississippi Associated Press for her piece "Therapy Dog," which aired on Rebel Radio 92.1 FM in October 2019. She was also named the runner-up in the Best Radio Hard News Reporter category of the 2020 Southeast Journalism Conference's Best of the South Awards. In 2022, Hayden received an award from the Hearst Foundation, for participating in the University of Mississippi's "in-depth reporting projects."
