Tampa, FL — Life probably shouldn’t be this exciting for a fish.

First, he was plucked out of the pond he was swimming in, caught in the cold, hard talons of a Osprey.

Then, as he began to accept that he is about to be lunch for the hungry bird, he is abandoned.

The Osprey, realizing the fish is too heavy to take off with, deserts his catch in the middle of a golf green.

Now the fish has to accept a new fate: to suffocate in a waterless world, under a hot sun.

But this is when the hero of our story swoops in!

Unlike the Osprey, this swoop is to save our gilled-friend’s life.

An unnamed hero, seemingly there to watch the on-going golf game, breaks from the crowd and trots across the green to the dying fish.

On camera and with anchor commentary, the man grabs the fish and returns him to the water, where we like to imagine he went on to live a happy fish life.

In the best celebratory exit, the man jogs back to his place, high-fiving equally delighted witnesses.

Dare I say, that’s definitely more drama than usual for a golf game.
