This week, the IOC provisionally approved breakdancing for consideration for the 2024 Games in Paris.

Three other events - skateboarding, surfing, and sport climbing - were also approved, and are set to debut at the 2020 Games in Tokyo.
The IOC reportedly wants to add more 'youth-oriented' events to the Games.
