Dancing Powerball girl steals spotlight from jackpot winner

North Carolina — Charles W. Jackson Jr. won $344 million in the Powerball lottery.

It’s the larges amount ever won on a single ticket.

But when the North Carolina man finally came forward to talk about his winnings, a woman dressed as a Powerball  stole his thunder.

She continued to dance, smile and wave her gloved hands behind Jackson Jr. during the press conference.

Twitter users loved the mascot tweeting things like:

“The girl in the background waving her inflated hands is hilarious!”

“That Power Ball girl in the background is awesome.”

“female employee of the year”

“Girl in the back's arms must be soooooo tired”

and “We gotta jazz hands the whole interview?”

Despite all the attention, no information has been released about the female mascot and Jackson Jr. has not commented on her either.

We think he will probably be O.K.
