Daytona Beach, Fla. — Daytona Beach Police said two teenagers from Seebreeze High School are being charged with misdemeanor battery (touch/strike) and cyberbullying after they tricked another student into a ‘jump and kick’ challenge and posted the video on TikTok.

According to the victim’s mother, she is a learning disabled student who has been mainstreamed into regular classes.

Adrianne King went straight to the administration after seeing the video, but was disappointed in their reaction to to the situation and then consulted the police department.

Daytona Beach Police said Friday they' would be filing a report with the State Attorney’s Office and announced the charges yesterday.

In the meantime, students at the school have been circulating a petition, yes via social media,  to have those involved expelled.
