This afternoon, Orange County investigators were back at the scene of this week's deadly apartment fire in Pine Hills.
As investigators sift through the rubble at Misty Oaks apartments, the State Fire Marshall is looking into whether or not an arsonist set the fire that destroyed an upstairs unit in the complex near Colonial and Hiawassee.
The blaze began around 3 a.m. Tuesday. Two victims were found shortly after, and just before noon, a third victim was located in the rubble.
Neighbors and some relatives say a woman in her 20's and two grade school aged children lived in the unit that was gutted by fire.
"It's scary. It is scary, very scary to wake up to that. And then to know that there are people in there," said resident Melanie Small.
Investigators tell us they hope a fourth person who was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation can help detectives.
Officials say that victim, a man, made it out of the unit and alerted crews to two people inside the unit before collapsing.
"I don't know how much he's been able to tell investigators at this time," said Ginette Rodriguez with the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
"Hopefully he is cooperating so we can get to the bottom of this."
