Local brewery petitions state to allow dogs inside with owners

Orlando, FL — Local breweries and dog lovers are rallying together to protect the right to bring their pups with them when they go to grab a beer.

This comes after an Orlando brewery, RockPit, was dinged by the health department after someone complained about a dog at their business.

Now, that brewery and other pup-loving places are asking for your help.

The business has started a change.org petition on which they write:

We consider this is a small minded authoritarian approach since it has nothing to do with public health. Dogs have been a part of breweries since the time of the Ancient Egyptians and so far no one has suffered any kind of ailment as a result. We have welcomed pets for over 7 years and now people will have to leave their 4 legged family member at home when they come in to our brewery or any other brewery in the State.

Please contact your state legislator and encourage them to pass dog friendly legislation so that people can continue to enjoy having their four legged family members join them at their favorite brewery, winery, distillery or pub."
