All Aboard Florida rail service unveils new name, trains

The rail line connecting Orlando to Miami will now be called Brightline.

At a press conference Monday, the company showed off its new train designs that will feature bright colored names: BrightBlue, BrightGreen, BrightOrange and BrightPink.

The express train service, previously referred to as All Aboard Florida, will cover 235 miles with stops in Orlando, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Brightline claims it will be a 3 hour trip.

It’s being touted as a privately funded effort that is expected to create up to 10,000 jobs.

Service between Miami and West Palm Beach is scheduled to begin in 2017, with full-service between Miami and Orlando later that year, according to its website.
