Andretti Indoor Karting and Games is now open, revs up Orlando entertainment

ORLANDO, FLORIDA — When Taylor Swift asks ‘are you ready for it?’ she may have been talking about Andretti Indoor Karting and Games.

The new premier, one-stop shop family entertainment center is located in Orlando on Universal Boulevard near the Orange County Convention Center, boasting  ‘10 ways to play under one roof.’ The tourist district location is the first in Florida, with more locations planned across the state.

Named for the world-renowned racing legend Mario Andretti, the new center is 150,000 square feet of serious fun featuring heart-pounding attractions, a full-service restaurant, two bars with more than 100 HD Tvs, and meeting and event space.

"The unique thing about our place is the Andretti brand and the standards of service that we provide to our guests," says manager Keith Charlton. "Everything is elevated to the next level."

“It’s whatever melts your butter,” said Mario Andretti, who was in Orlando Tuesday night to cut the ribbon for the grand opening. “We want to earn our stripes in the community. We want to be a good neighbor and we want to be an asset. We want the community to be proud of us because we’re certainly proud to be here.”

When you walk into the building, you'll be greeted by a friendly host or hostess who will direct you to registration and then to the 'Starting Line' where you'll choose your unique Andretti experiences:

*  3 tracks of indoor karting
*  12 lanes of boutique bowling
*  More than 100 arcade and prize games (like the world's largest Pac-Man game)
*  Two-level laser tag
* Six virtual reality CXC racing simulators
* 7D HD 'dark ride' interactive motion theater
*Extreme ropes course and curved zip line

Of course, you shouldn't come to Andretti Indoor Karting and Games without riding the karts! These aren't just any old go-karts: these are high-speed electric SODI RTX Superkarts. You'll take a ride on the specially designed, multi-level tracks that will have you feeling like a pro racecar driver.

If you need to take a break and refuel,  you’re only a few steps away from the Andretti Grill, a full-service, scratch-kitchen featuring delicious cuisine like wood-fired brick oven pizzas and homemade lemon blueberry cheesecake. Need a cocktail or just want to watch the game? You can choose from the downstairs bar or the ultra-cool, upstairs Sky Bar, with a 180 degree view of the track and an LED illuminated dome roof.

Not only is Andretti Indoor Karting and Games bringing money to the local economy, it has also brought more than 400 jobs to the area with more to come.

"As we grow with our events, we'll be growing our staff as well," Charlton says.
