Orlando, Fla. — Three suspects are under arrest, accused of taking several people hostage during a Deltona home invasion on Sunday.
Volusia County Sheriff’s deputies say the men got into the home on the 1400 block of Eden Drive through an open garage before confronting several people inside at gunpoint.
They allegedly tied up the victims and ordered them to sit in the garage while they ransacked the house.
On body-worn video, a deputy is heard observing at least one man armed with a rifle.
That’s when they were alerted that a 7-year-old child was hiding in the house, who was on the phone with emergency dispatchers.
When the robbers learned that someone inside the house had called 911, the victims can be heard screaming as the suspects opened garage door to run away.
According to a release, deputies were able to get the victims out of the garage safely while catching the three suspects as they were trying to run from the home.
The suspects have been identified as 30-year-old Jermain Oliver, 29-year-old John Anderson and 32-year-old Derrick Mathis.
