Boston Dynamics’ creepy robot dog meets real dog

You may have seen video of the trotting, headless, animal-like robot created by Boston Dynamics, and if you haven't, prepare for nightmares.

While taking the robot out for a spin the other day, the team conducted a fun, though inadvertent, experiment when their robot-dog-animal came face-to-face with a real canine.

The perturbed and confused real pup ran around their ambling robot, chasing and barking at the creature obviously unhappy with his new mechanical friend.

"Come on, take him dog!" the cameraman cheers on, "go get the robot!"

Finally, the robot "lays down" to let the tenacious pup know that he's won.

Note to crew – invention not domestic home friendly yet.
