Central Florida teens encounter 16-foot great white shark

Phelan and Taylor Magone were out fishing for grouper near the Ponce Inlet, but they encountered something much bigger than they expected.

The two 18-year-olds told CBS Miami they noticed a 16-foot great white shark circling their boat and quickly grabbed a Go-Pro to catch it on video.

“Just a grey shadow coming up on us,” Phelan told the station, “You couldn’t miss him.”

CBS Miami reports the teens were in roughly 120 feet of water when they spotted the creature.
