Orlando, Fla. — A U.S. Coast Guard crew from Cape Canaveral is back from sea after seizing over $80 million-dollars worth of drugs.
After a 55 day counter-drug patrol in the Eastern Pacific, the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Vigilant returned with enough drugs to kill a small town.
In all, the Coast Guard intercepted more than 2-thousand kilograms of cocaine, 30 pounds of marijuana, and a pound of amphetamine.
Eleven suspected narco-traffickers were detained.
