Comedian-actor John Pinette who just turned 50 last month was found dead Saturday.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office says Pinette, died at the Sheraton Station Square Hotel in Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh Public Safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler said a relative was concerned after not hearing from Pinette and contacted security at the hotel.
Pinette appeared in several movies including "The Punisher" "Duets" and "Dear God". He also guest starred on the series finale of "Seinfeld" as a victim of a carjacking, but was known best for his impressions and his self-deprecating pokes at his weight in his stand- up comedy.
His manager, Larry Schapiro, told the Hollywood Reporter that Pinette died from a pulmonary embolism.
In the summer of 2013 he checked into rehab for prescription pill addiction.
The last post on his Facebook said: "Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all have a GREAT weekend! Don't forget to catch me at the Ontario Improv Comedy Club next week, April 10-13!"
