ORLANDO, Fla. — With two unbearably long years left until the new Star Wars-themed area opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the park is releasing its first behind-the-scenes construction pictures.
Unfortunately, it's really just a quick peek at what's in store. A blog post by Disney Parks offers a glimpse at the AT-AT walkers that will surround you in the attraction. Yes, the same AT-ATs featured in the epic Battle of Hoth.
Disney also unveiled some details about two new attractions coming to the new land.
“One that lets guests take the controls of Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission,” a Disney blog post reads, “And an epic Star Wars adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.”
The new Star Wars lands are set to open in 2019 at both Disney World and Disneyland in California.
