ORLANDO, Fla. — The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts hosted its first Community Giveback initiative, which provides unique experiences for students, teachers, veterans, first responders, and many other guests and organizations.

On Wednesday, 500 guests attended the Cirque Mechanics Winter Wonder Shoppe, where guests learned about the creation of the show as well as saw a festive pre-show reception and lunch.

More than 47,000 guests have participated in the Dr. Phillips Center Community Giveback initiative since its launch in 2017.

“As we continue to grow and reach new milestones with our Community Givebacks, this one is especially meaningful as it marks our first performance buyout,” says Kathy Ramsberger, president & CEO of Dr. Phillips Center. “Our team is committed to expanding the program and exploring partnerships that help us deliver Arts for Every Life while providing opportunities for individuals of all ages to create lasting memories at Dr. Phillips Center.”

The event brought together city and county officials and marked a major milestone in the center’s ‘Arts for Every Life’ initiative.

“Our mission is to be an inspirational place where people love to be, so every single year we are looking at new ways and new opportunities to continue enhancing who we are bringing but also expanding the opportunities for kids,” said Rachel Moalli, senior director of corporate affairs and community engagement.
