ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA — Students who attend Lake Nona High School will have to learn new drop-off locations beginning Monday.
One location will be at the main entrance, the other at the gym. The new drop-off spots have been added to help ease congestion, school officials said.
Parents are dropping off their children in the middle of Narcoosee Road. Troopers with the Florida Highway patrol said not only is that method dangerous, it’s also illegal.
In the past, the only point of entry for staff and students was at the main entrance at the school.
School leaders say they’ll try the new drop-off locations for two weeks to see if it helps the congestion and illegal drop-offs
