Firefighters battle brush fires across Central Fla.

Firefighters from Volusia and Flagler counties continue to battle a weekend brush fire that forced residents in Ormond Beach out of their home.

About 130 firefighters spent most of Sunday working to get the fire under control. The fire is about 85 percent contained and everyone that was evacuated, is back home.

Firefighters tell WDBO, the battle is far from over.

Flames from the fire moved fast and residents say they feared for their homes.

Officials say the wind and dry conditions helped fan the flames. They're discouraging anyone from burning anything Monday.

In Orange County, a 30-acre brush fire is burning near Winter Garden Vineland Road. That fire is 100 percent contained.
