The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission has killed a 9-foot long green anaconda that was spotted near the St. John's River.
According to their Facebook post on Wednesday morning, someone called in after seeing the non-native constrictor. Officers were able to get to the scene by State Road 50 at the Brevard, Orange County line before the snake escaped into the water.
