Former Investigator: Casey Anthony's legal team admitted she killed her daughter

Casey Anthony walks out of the Orange County Co. Jail

Court documents drafted by private investigator Dominic Casey make surprising allegations about Casey Anthony’s defense team in the murder of daughter Caylee Anthony.

A pair of affidavits released in April of 2016 claims Jose Baez told the private investigator in 2008 that “Casey had murdered Caylee and dumped the body somewhere.”

The documentation was filed as part of Casey Anthony’s ongoing bankruptcy case.

The murder trial made national headlines after Casey Anthony reported her daughter missing and a meter reader found the remains near Anthony’s home. She was famously acquitted in July of 2011.

Former investigator Dominic Casey also blames attorney Jose Baez for requesting sexual acts from Casey Anthony in return for legal services.

News 96.5 WDBO legal analyst Sherri Dewitt said the accusations could lead to complications with Casey Anthony’s defense team and the Florida Bar.

“There could be some potential implications for the attorney based on the allegations,” Sherri explained, “but somebody would have to file a Bar complaint on those grounds.”

One affidavit quotes Jose Baez in July of 2008 as saying “he needed all the help he could get to find the body [of daughter Caylee Anthony] before anyone else did.”

Legal analyst Sherri Dewitt told News 96.5 WDBO she is not sure how the statements have any relevance to Casey Anthony’s bankruptcy case.
