Kit Kat covered in edible 24-karat gold to be released

Kit Kat's are getting fancy.

Nestle is releasing a limited edition edible 24-karat gold covered Kit Kat later this month that, unfortunately, you can only get in Japan.

Only 500 of the gold leaf covered treats will be made and sold in the country, according to MSN. They won't be cheap either. The candy will cost 2,016 yen, or around $22 American, and instead of the traditional four Kit Kat sticks in a package, there will only be one.

The treat is called 'Sublime Gold' and is described as having a rich, bitter chocolate taste. The bars will be on sale in chocolate boutiques as well as high-end department stores across Japan.

The country is known for having a variety of interesting candy flavors. Nestle Japan has produced over 200 flavors of Kit Kats, from sweet strawberry to wasabi.
