Lake Mary Little League welcomed home after earning a spot in Little League Baseball World Series

Update:

LAKE MARY, Fla. — The Lake Mary Little Leaguers flew back home from Warner Robins, Georgia, to a warm welcome from fans as they celebrated their berth in the Little League Baseball World Series.

Lake Mary is now the 24th team to represent Florida in the Little League Baseball World Series and the fourth to come out of the Central Florida area (Altamonte: 1984, Apopka: 2001, Maitland: 2005).

The team was close last year, making it to the Regional Finals. However, they fell short.

Now, after redeeming themselves, they have a quick turnaround as they are set to fly to New York City tomorrow and take a four-hour bus ride to Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the Little League Baseball World Series.
