It’s been a revolving door when it comes to Florida politicians since the election of president Donald Trump, keeping Governor Ron DeSantis very busy when it comes to official appointments.

Between Ashley Moody taking the senate seat of Marco Rubio after he was selected as Secretary of State to Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis running for the vacant seat of Matt Gaetz after his abrupt resignation.

There is now another position the governor will look to fill, and with an eye towards someone to take his role when his term ends in 2026.

Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez will look to step down from her role later today, as it is expected that Florida International University will be naming her their interim president.

Former president Mark Rosenburg abruptly stepped down in January after an incident he explained, “caused discomfort for a valued colleague.”
