TIMELINE: More than 100 people gather for vigil on seventh day of Miya Marcano disappearance

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — The search continues for a missing Orange County woman. Read updates below:

11 p.m. update:

More than 100 people gathered tonight for Miya Marcano’s candlelight vigil. The 19-year-old has now been missing for 7 days.

4:30 p.m. update:

Law enforcement agencies across Central Florida continue their search for Miya Marcano, a 19-year-old Orange County woman missing since Saturday.

Orange County deputies released a Central Florida Crimeline flyer Friday afternoon offering a reward of $15,000 for information leading to the location of Marcano.

Law enforcement agencies across Central Florida are continuing their search for Marcano.

A large group of deputies is continuing to search marshlands in New Smyrna Beach as members of Marcano’s family pray they find her.

Anyone with information that may lead to Marcano can call Central Florida Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS(8477) to share the details.

12 p.m. update:

Investigators started searching an area in New Smyrna Beach around 8 a.m.

Detectives said they received a tip that led them to the area but would not comment any further.

Family members have been organizing their own searches since Marcano went missing.

6 a.m. update:

Orange County deputies said they are pouring all possible resources into Miya Marcano’s disappearance.

The 19-year-old college student vanished one week ago.

Sheriff John Mina switched from calling Armando Caballero a person of interest in Marcano’s disappearance to saying Caballero was responsible.

“At this time, we don’t believe there’s another person involved,” Mina said.

Caballero was found dead from an apparent suicide on Monday.

Law enforcement officers said Caballero was questioned at the apartment complex when deputies first arrived.

Caballero said he last saw Marcano at 3 p.m. Friday but deputies let him go.

They didn’t have evidence or probable cause to continue questioning him or get a search warrant.

Deputies will search the New Smyrna Beach area on Friday after receiving a tip.
