ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Magic released information today announcing that Moritz Wagner, the backup center and focal point of the second team, will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season with a torn ACL.
Moritz, brother of 1st round pick Franz Wagner, was having a terrific season through 30 games, ranking second in points off the bench with an average of 12.9 points.
The Magic will turn to 3rd string center Goga Bitadze to fill the backup center role.
This is just another major incident in the Orlando Magic’s injury-plagued season, with stars Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero out with torn oblique injuries.
