Osceola County man arrested after firing shots near pregnant girlfriend’s apartment, sheriff says

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting in Kissimmee.

Update:

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded around 1:30 p.m. to Orchid Lane in regards to a shooting.

Sheriff Marcos Lopez said a woman called 911 and said the father of her unborn child ran away.

Lopez said David Gomez, 25, fired several rounds in the direction of her apartment complex.

Gomez was in a relationship with the victim, and he came to the house Tuesday and fired several times from the outside of the house before running away.

Lopez said no one was hurt.

Deputies said they arrested David Gomez in Charlotte County after the pursuit.

Sheriff Marcos Lopez will be holding a press conference at 5:45 p.m.

A Channel 9 crew at the scene said the location is restricted at this time with yellow crime scene tape.
