A 19-year-old man was arrested on a first-degree murder charge in the death of his 73-year-old grandfather, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Donald Gonnelly was shot in the face several times, according to the arrest affidavit.
His body was found in his home on Frances Ann Court in Mount Dora, deputies said.
Oakley Miller, 19, was arrested at the scene. The home had been ransacked.
"He's always walking the roads and he's just, there's something not right with him. I just had that feeling inside," said neighbor Brenda Hunt.
Retired police officer Junior Smith lives across the street.
"I was here all day and saw nothing unusual, which is normal for this street. And, my reaction when I heard it was, 'Well something happened within the family,'" said Smith.
Detectives said they're not discussing a crime motive.
